“Miloje Čiplić” Primary School is a public primary school located in Novi Bečej, Serbia, providing education for pupils aged 7–14. We have extensive experience in international cooperation and Erasmus+ projects, including accredited KA121 activities and participation in former KA229 partnerships, as well as KA220 partnerships. Role in the PROTECT Project
“Miloje Čiplić” Primary School contributes to the PROTECT project by placing pupils at the centre of climate action and learning, with a strong emphasis on peer involvement and leadership. A key role in the project is played by our eco-ambassadors—motivated pupils who actively participate in climate-related activities and support the transfer of knowledge and values within the school community.
Eco-ambassadors are involved in project-based STEM/STEAM activities, environmental actions, and digital storytelling, and they also play an important role in raising awareness among younger pupils through workshops, presentations, and collaborative activities. This peer-to-peer approach strengthens pupil voice, responsibility, and confidence.
Through the use of digital tools and the eTwinning platform, pupils share their ideas, actions, and reflections with international peers, developing a strong sense of agency and European belonging. The PROTECT project aligns closely with our aim to empower pupils as active, environmentally responsible citizens through meaningful, real-world learning experiences.
Sustainability is also a key strategic objective of our Erasmus accreditation, shaping project design, learning outcomes, and dissemination.
EU / International Project Experience
Primary School “Miloje Čiplić” has extensive experience in EU and international cooperation, particularly through the Erasmus+ programme. The school was the coordinator of the KA229 project “Soul of Science”, a multidisciplinary STEM/STEAM initiative integrating science, environmental awareness, and innovative teaching approaches. In recognition of its impact and quality, the project received the European Innovative Teaching Award in 2023.
The school also participated in the KA229 project “Literacy Is the Key of 2020 and Beyond”, which focused on literacy development, inclusion, and innovative teaching methods, strengthening cross-curricular and learner-centred practices.
Through its Erasmus+ KA121 accreditation, the school implemented pupil and teacher mobilities in the previous academic year with a strong focus on ecology, environmental awareness, sustainability, and digital competences.
Sustainability is a core strategic goal of our Erasmus accreditation, guiding project selection, learning outcomes, and dissemination. This experience enables meaningful contributions to climate education, student agency, and community engagement within the PROTECT project.

Osnovna škola „Miloje Čiplić“ je osnovna škola koja se nalazi u Novom Bečeju, u Republici Srbiji, i pruža obrazovanje učenicima uzrasta od 7 do 14 godina. Škola ima oko 500 učenika i 60 zaposlenih i posvećena je pružanju inkluzivnog i kvalitetnog obrazovanja koje učenike priprema za aktivno građanstvo i celoživotno učenje.
Našu školu čini tim stručnih i posvećenih nastavnika koji realizuju nastavu po savremenim nastavnim programima, uz stalnu individualnu podršku svakom učeniku kako bi ostvario svoj puni potencijal. Poseban akcenat stavljamo na inkluziju, inovativnost, saradnju, održivost i interkulturalno razumevanje.
Škola obezbeđuje bezbedno, podsticajno i motivišuće okruženje u kome se učenici osećaju prihvaćeno i poštovano. Kroz pristup usmeren prema učeniku, podstičemo radoznalost, kreativnost, odgovornost i lični razvoj.
Imamo bogato iskustvo u međunarodnoj saradnji i realizaciji Erasmus+ projekata, uključujući akreditovane KA121 aktivnosti, prethodna KA229 partnerstva, kao i KA220 projekte. Naše oblasti stručnosti obuhvataju digitalno učenje i primenu IKT-a, ekološko i klimatsko obrazovanje, kulturno nasleđe, STEM i STEAM obrazovanje, projektno učenje i razvoj učeničke inicijative.
Bogata vannastavna ponuda, koja uključuje sekcije, sportske aktivnosti i kreativne radionice, podržava razvoj talenata, samopouzdanja, timskog rada i aktivnog učešća učenika u školskom i lokalnom životu.
Role in the PROTECT Project
Osnovna škola „Miloje Čiplić“ doprinosi projektu PROTECT stavljajući učenike u središte klimatskog delovanja i učenja, uz snažan fokus na vršnjačko učenje i učeničko liderstvo. Posebno važnu ulogu u projektu imaju naši eko-ambasadori – motivisani učenici koji aktivno učestvuju u ekološkim aktivnostima i doprinose prenošenju znanja i vrednosti unutar školske zajednice.
Eko-ambasadori su uključeni u projektno učenje kroz STEM/STEAM pristupe, ekološke akcije i digitalno pripovedanje, a imaju i značajnu ulogu u podizanju svesti kod mlađih učenika kroz radionice, prezentacije i zajedničke aktivnosti. Ovakav vršnjački pristup jača učenički glas, osećaj odgovornosti i samopouzdanje.
Korišćenjem digitalnih alata i eTwinning platforme, učenici razmenjuju ideje, aktivnosti i razmišljanja sa vršnjacima iz drugih evropskih zemalja, razvijajući snažan osećaj inicijative i evropske pripadnosti. Projekat PROTECT je u potpunosti usklađen sa našim ciljem da učenike osnaži kao aktivne i ekološki odgovorne građane kroz smisleno učenje povezano sa realnim životom.
