First Gathering of PROTECT Project Partners

Portuguese participants with the Mayor - Clare Local Government Offices October 2025

Clare Education Centre recently welcomed partner organisations from Ireland, Croatia, Norway, Portugal and Serbia for the first in-person meeting of the Erasmus+-funded PROTECT Project — Pupil-Led Response to the Effects of Climate Change on their Local Communities.

This initial gathering marked an important milestone, bringing partners together to align on project objectives, share perspectives, and begin a programme of collaboration focused on student voice, climate awareness, and local action.

The meeting sets the foundation for three years of cooperation, creativity, and shared learning across Europe, as the PROTECT partnership works to support young people in engaging meaningfully with the challenges of climate change in their own communities.

The PROTECT Project is funded under the Erasmus+ programme and supported nationally by Léargas.
